Saas-Grund lies a little further down the valley from Saas-Fee and, unlike its car-free neighbour, is easy to reach by car. With Haus Astoria, Haus City and Haus Pickelschmiede, we offer three holiday houses here for 2 to 12 guests – perfect for families and groups who want to park right outside the door and still reach the slopes in Saas-Fee within minutes by lift or bus.
Saas-Grund lies at around 1,560 m in the middle of the Saas Valley, just a few kilometres below Saas-Fee. Unlike its car-free neighbour, you can drive right up to the house here. In Saas-Grund we rent out 15 holiday apartments in three houses: Haus Astoria with apartments for up to 12 guests, Haus City with studios and compact apartments, and Haus Pickelschmiede. Bed linen is always included.
Lifts run straight from the village into the Hohsaas ski area at over 3,000 m, with views of the Weissmies and other 4,000-metre peaks. The area is popular with families. The ski areas of Saas-Fee and Saas-Almagell are also just a few minutes away by bus, and cross-country trails follow the river through the valley.
In summer the lift takes you up to Kreuzboden with its mountain lake and large play area for children – ideal for families. Numerous hiking trails start from Hohsaas and Kreuzboden, including high-level paths to the neighbouring villages, as well as alpine tours and via ferratas.
Take the train to Visp and then the PostBus to Saas-Grund. By car you can drive directly to our houses. We are happy to tell you about parking before you arrive.
